ARK Births the Cutest Babies

The husband – Turbo – has been breeding Argents in ARK. We have two good argentivis and he’s been obsessed with breeding in better ones. He then discovered the beauty of mutations and is now trying to breed those in as well.

I admit that I don’t have the stomach for the part where he has to get rid of the babies that don’t meet his stat requirements, so I haven’t been involved in much of the hatching activities.

However, I became responsible for breeding our otters. We have the pair we got last weekend and it was recommend to have a ‘spare’ pair in the event that one (or both) of the otters die in combat. So last night I began the process. I had already decided that any ‘extras’ (multiples of a gender before I got the other gender) weren’t going to get executed. We have a pond in our base and I was planning to put those otters on wander in the lake, where they can feed themselves and are relatively safe.

After the gestation period was over, the tiniest little baby popped out of mama otter. And the result was THE CUTEST FAMILY PORTRAIT EVER:

In the end, there were three babies. This one – which is a boy, another boy, and finally a girl. The babies are probably all going to end up in crypods for reserves.

And I’m glad that I had resolved to not kill them, because LOOK AT HIS FACE. He is, in fact, the one with the lowest stats but he’s fine for backup. šŸ˜Š
