Machine Embroidery is Hard

I did manage to complete 2 free standing lace coasters on Friday.  It took a lot more effort and attention in order to get them completed, but they looked wonderful.  I was so happy!

However, things went poorly from there on out.  On Saturday, I started on rebranding one of my polo shirts.  I disregarded the clear indication that the needle was getting dull.  Suddenly it broke, and after I replaced it, the machine somehow had a different idea of where it was and started embroidering the black outline (which was all that was left) in a location about 3/4 inch to the left of where it should be.

Couldn’t fix it, and I’ve shredded the shirt trying to remove the design.  Learned the hard way that I really should change out the needle every time I switch projects.
