I find that I approach live one day at a time. As a result I have inadvertently forgotten things that need to be done until the last minute.
Take today for instance. I have a PET scan scheduled for Friday. I vaguely recall the scheduler telling me that I needed to follow a low carb and low sugar diet for the 24 hours prior to the procedure.
Today is Wednesday. I decided to try to find out exactly WHAT comprises a low carb and low sugar diet. I found it on a web site (I forget which school, but it was a medical school in California.)
Now I have to buy food for me to eat tomorrow, because there’s very little suitable at the house or at the workplace. At least I checked today and not tomorrow.
